Review:
This was fun to read!
It has been a while since I read a book with some good, snarky dialog. Besides the snarky I really enjoyed Kylie and how Yiddish was thrown into her dialog and the story and how Dag reacted to the strange speech. Putting Kylie, a 21st century, geeky girl with Dag, who has not been awake in 300 years, leads to a lot fun misunderstandings. As a couple they were fun and sexy and in my opinion the best part of the book.
The Author did an excellent job of not making me feel lost, since once again I picked up a book in the middle of the series. Plus, all the others in the series were included into this book so I got to know them a little also. The story line continues through all the books as the Guardians continue to wake up and fight the rising evil.
The only thing that bothered me was the big fight scene, there was all this build-up but the actual event was a little anticlimactic and rushed. Otherwise I enjoyed this book and the end had a little cliffhanger as the Nocturnis continue to grow in strength.

I absolutely love the gargoyle theme! It's such a wonderful and fascinating addition to the paranormal category. Definitely a fresh and new take on the genre
And while I did enjoy this latest entry to Christine Warrens gargoyle series, I didn't love it, which I know is because I didn't connect with either of the main characters. I can't really put my finger on why that is, maybe I just didn't understand or relate with all her techy talk or care for his aloofness. I know they stated they felt attraction towards the other...but for whatever reason, I never felt it. There was just no spark between Dag and Kylie for me, and too much back and forth with the rudeness.
I would recommend this book to any Christine Warren fan, and anyone looking for something outside the box in the paranormal genre. Gargoyles are such a nice change of pace from vampires and werewolves....and while it can be read as a standalone, it's most certainly a book in a series, and I really would highly encourage you read the previous books, or even reread the previous releases, before you pick this one up to fully enjoy it and it's characters.

“Rocked By Love” is book fourth installment of the Gargoyles series by Christine Warren. Even though this book can be read as a standalone I highly suggest that you start at the beginning considering that the story has a constant theme and awakening of sexy guardian gargoyles, finding love and having the shoulder of the worlds future on their shoulder…literally. Reading this series in order would benefit you more with the story instead of reading just one. I only got to review “Rocked By Love”, but I will for sure be reading the other three installments.
Kylie Kramer is the best computer genius “geek” man has ever known. She’s also self made millionaire, but all this does is give her even more privacy in being able to do whatever she wants with her handy computer. This story starts off with Kylie looking into the death of her best friend, Bran who went missing for a long period of time and then magically appeared dead. His death was rule out as a heart attack, but Kylie doesn’t believe that’s exactly happened. As she takes a deeper lead into what happened she gets a meeting with a man that she’s been communicating for a while. They were suppose to meet up, but instead she hit a dead end and to matters worse she gets attacked by mysterious evil that woken the gargoyle statue she passed near by who also helped save her.
Dag is the fourth guardian to have been awaken from his deep slumber to help save the earth from potential evil, but to do that he and Kylie need to find the rest of the gargoyle’s before they get destroyed by the enemy, Nocturni
As Dag and Kylie become a unit he remembers a story regarding the seven original guardians and their mate. With Kylie being on his mind so much he starts to wonder if she’s destined to be his mate. Was it fate when she woke him up?
As I started this story I couldn’t get into for a while because the two main characters were drastically different. Dag practically lived in the stone ages (no pun intended) while Kylie is a vibrant introvert who used technology at will. I could connect with Kylie during certain stand points, but I was completely lost with Dag. I wish that he was able to absorb the information and language that Kylie and her friends were speaking or at least have some common grounds with the gargoyle, but instead I got a while bunch of frustration. Now, the story started to pick up a little more than half way because Dag and Kylie not only have sexual attraction towards each other, but their making some progress regarding Nocturni - the enemy.
Overall the story was good and there was excitement, but I would highly suggest to read the very beginning of the series instead of just jumping into one of the standalone. The pace, writing style and development is slow, but seems to be on the right track.
