About the Author
Stephen Power is Principal Lecturer at the Department of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities, Canterbury Christ Church University College, Kent. His nursing career began in 1972 and includes several clinincal trainings. He has wide experience as a supervisor of nurses, psychotherapists and counsellors.

This is a book that must be read by all nurses if we are to improve the quality of our clinical practice. Stephen Power has a very convincing style that really gets the message across and there is a strong sense that he knows his subject well.
This imformative book follows the course of the supervision process, illustrating each stage with an absorbing blend of information, opinion, academic theory, anecdotal material, serious comment and thought-provoking exercises.
It is written in a lively and engaging style and will be an asset to both clinical nurse supervisors and their supervisees (whether qualified staff or students) in helping them to get the best they can from the supervisory experience.
