Prisoner of Love is a quick-paced

Prisoner of Love is a quick-paced, action romance with a touch of humor at just the right places. Skendrovich uses words with an economy and precision that makes this a real page turner. The personalities of the characters are revealed through their actions and become people the reader would like to have as friends. Hopefully, this new writer will provide us with new adventures in the near future.

A perfect blend of romance and suspense

Prisoner of love was a fast paced, action packed, well written book. I loved that the action started right from the beginning and continued throughout the story line.
I enjoyed the facets to Jake's personalty. He was a little bit of the rough, shady guy he played, but mostly he was a good guy who was trying to make the world a better place. He lost himself just the slightest bit and he's determined not to drag Lucy down with him.
Lucy is a complex character she's vulnerable and shy, insecure and unsure. But she knows what she wants, Jake, and since life is already going to hell, she might as well enjoy the ride.
This story keeps moving, keeps the reader on their toes and is enjoyable. It's not predictable in any way and the action is well thought out. The sex scenes could have potentially been steamier, but I do think it was a well balanced book. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense. I look forward to reading more from Cathy Skendrovich.

Great story!

This is the first book I've read by Cathy Skendrovich, but it definitely won't be my last! Not only was the writing captivating and fast-paced, but the story was just a fun read altogether. Jake Dalton was a sexy-as hell undercover cop who made me laugh, especially in the beginning when he carjacks Lucy's car. And Lucy...I loved her too. Her reactions to him are just as entertaining and kept me engrossed in their love story.
I read this in one sitting and loved every minute of it. The characters were believable, the dangers were realistic, and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. I worried about the characters and wanted them to make it out alive. There were even a few moments I wondered how it was possible for them to get out of the situation they were in and was pleasantly surprised each and every time. Kudos to the author and her brilliance! I can't wait to read more of her work!
