my kid wouldn't touch a book.... until this series!!!!!

My 14 yr old was never a huge fan of reading, but in an attempt to change that I brought her to a book store and she decided she wanted to try the 5 Wave. In all honesty I saw the thickness of the book and thought to myself " god she's never going to finish this" but to my surprise she did, in a little less than 2 weeks. I was ecstatic! I went and bought her a Kindle and she completed an additional book from a diff series, she discovered there was a 2nd book in this series. She requested it, and I ordered it for her just now(I'm at work, she's at home) I love the fact that THIS SERIES has brought out a love of reading in my kid. Thank you!

as bold as Ben and as good of a person as Evan

The beginning was long and emotionally hard but when I finished this book I found myself wanting to be as strong a Cassie, as bold as Ben and as good of a person as Evan. The plot was amazing and the emotions run deep I. This book. The movie is amazing to, but it lacked the emotional connection that I foubd myself gain with the characters. This is a must read life changing book. Oh and please remember that the beginnning is a little long and emotionally hard to get through but once you do it turns good really fast.

AWESOME, AWESOME

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME! Yes I am an adult that thoroughly enjoys YA. 72 hours after reading this book, I finished. Was intrigued from the very beginning. Yancey's characters were easy to relate to, sucking you in and not letting go. I spent most of the book not knowing who to trust. I knew in Cassie's heart that she was trusting the right people, but I didn't necessarily believe it. She was so cool, likable and I was rooting for her the whole time (of course). I love Evan. He was awesome. I hated the ending (don't freak out, it was just a cliffhanger), but...I'm just glad the second book is out already. Will not be happy to have to wait for the third...lol!
